I did a couple of stories on dismal STAAR test results across Texas before this one cropped up. A Fort Bend ISD mom emailed us about her son scoring a perfect 100 on the math portion. I thought it was a perfect counterbalance to all of the negative testing news. It didn't hurt that 4th grader Omar Kabalan was so cute and talkative.
