Flooded road in Whiteville, Tenn. traps residents
I had just taken a seat with a cup of coffee and my dog Sunday afternoon. "Octopussy" was on TV. Then the call came. Work needed me to go to rural west Tennessee to cover flooding concerns. 9 times out of 10 you never get called in when "on call" on a weekend. But at least we get overtime. Turns out, a roadway was washed away in the flooding and the story came together rather nicely.
